Another Pink Ivory Dish Turning.
To turn pink ivory is certainly a challenge -- since only extremely sharp tool will create a pleasant surface since sanding is not an option. and would leave unpleasant streaks. It takes a lot longer to turn a pink ivory bowl than maybe walnut/maple/redwood. but the end result is just stunning.
I do not want explain Pink Ivory the best would be- somebody who is interested on this I would suggest checking wikipedia.org and search for pink ivory. Everything I would write would sound like a made up story.
Many years ago I was able to obtain a log of a pink ivory tree and this is a small bowl of it.
